Tim Maher
Painting:
My paintings reflect my dual interests in art and sociology.
I began painting in graduate school and have combined art and sociology throughout my career.
My paintings express a sensitivity toward community life and cultural expression
informed by years of research and social activism. I am a professor of sociology
at the University of Indianapolis and one of the founders
of the Wheeler Arts Community in Fountain Square, Indianapolis, IN.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder
First the art pleases me, in the making
Then, my hope is, It will please someone else
with it's beauty.
